Road Rulz-Chicago

Road Rulz-Chicago is a traveling servant trip where campers will spend the week traveling to different servant projects around the Chicago area. Each day the group will receive a clue they will need to decipher to provide them the information necessary to get to their next location. All of the destinations are pre-determined, only the campers will not know where they are heading. The trip also includes a fun day where the group goes to a water park.

Road Rulz- Milwaukee

Entering Grades 10-12
Road Rulz-Milwaukee is a traveling servant trip where campers will work with a group from Lutherdale Bible Camp, Elkhorn, WI and travel to Milwaukee. Lutherdale has been leading servant trips to Milwaukee for several years and we hope to tie into their experience. Campers will start at Camp Shalom and be led by Camp Shalom staff. The group will stay at Tommy Thompson Youth Hostel and travel to a variety of work-sites everyday. They will serve meals at shelters, sort food in the food pantry, lead activities with community kids and help out with smaller clean-up projects. Campers will also spend time learning from people who reach out to those in need every day.

Houseboat Adventure

Entering Grades 10-12
Campers will arrive on Sunday and spend the first day packing out food and making preparations for their week long trip on the Mississippi River. Monday the group will travel to McGregor, IA where we rent a houseboat from Boatels, Inc. Monday through Thursday morning the group will spend all of their time on the river while camping out in the evenings on islands.  The power of this trip is the amazing sense of community the group develops and the freedom to create activities.

Senior High Gathering

We will also be offering a wider variety of servant event projects designed to reach out to the local community. All camp games will be done on a grander scale and the Talent Show caps off the week.
