Charis House
Charis (khar’-ece) is a Greek word meaning Grace, the loving-kindness God gives to all creation. This house was renovated in 2005 to provide Camp Shalom with a lodging resource more appropriate for adults. It has five sleeping areas. Each sleeping area has access to its own bathroom and shower area. The living room area has a fireplace and windows looking out into the woods. The building also has a very large deck that is ideal for daytime meetings and evening star watching.
The Charis House also has a residential style kitchen that allows groups to provide their own food service. However, food service can be catered and served by the Camp Shalom staff in this same building.
